Zurowski Resigns From Community Futures

Prince George, B.C. - Prince George Councilor, Don Zurowski, has tendered his resignation from the Community Futures Development Corporation. "I thought that with Gerry (Offet) leaving Initiatives Prince George perhaps it was time for renewal of this Corporation as well" says Zurowski. His resignation takes effect at the end of March, the same time Offet will leave Initiatives Prince George.
Zurowski has been with the Community Futures Development Corporation for 14 years "I am clearing my page for the future" says Zurowski, who says his political plans are not part of the reason why he is leaving the job. "Let me make it very clear, I did not resign because I am running for Mayor, although I may run for Mayor."
Contrary to rumours, Zurowski says he is not seeking the position of President of the North West Development Corporation, nor is he looking to replace Offet when he steps down from Initiatives Prince George. "I have no committments beyond what I am currently doing, I plan to have some time to take a vacation, and maybe cut my work week to about 40 hours".
He admits he is taking a look at running for the position as Mayor of Prince George. "I am considering running, however I have not made a committment to that. When I make a decision, I will happily let my 80 thousand friends and neighbours know."
