Prince George City Council has approved a rezoning application that would allow for a project at 5th and Tabor .
The plan is for a residential subdivision with a mix of limited commercial development, including one and two family dwellings with secondary suites.
This development would also allow for some commercial development to serve the community but there is a difference as residential suites would be allowed upstairs from the commercial operation.
Speaking on behalf of the developer, Hayer Homes, L&M Engineering’s David MacWalter says he is very enthusiastic about the presentation as it is an infill development and does not require a costly extension of city roads or services.
The streetscape has a wider look, with pedestrian favourable lighting, a wider boulevard, and more trees.
