P.G. Housing Starts Up In January

Prince George, B.C. - Although Canada Mortgage and Housing is predicting  a downturn in housing starts for 2008,  such is not the case for the first month of January in Prince George.

The latest stats indicate housing starts were up by nearly 31% in January.

Vernon saw the largest increase in the Province, with  a jump of 112.5%!  The largest drop was in Abbotsford  where  starts were down by 48.2%.
