Prince George, B.C. - Good news  for Prince George Transit.  The ridership is up per hour, and  the revenue is up.  "We expect to  increase service without  having to  increase costs" says Bob Radloff.

The City is predicting an increase in  revenue through ridership and on board advertising.

There has been positive reaction to the 15 minute service to the University and the late night service on the weekends and the city is hopeful  students at the University will vote YES to a "U"pass that will give students a special rate.

The rides per hour have jumped from 16 per hour in  2004  to 27 per hour in 2007.  "We have out performed every other municipality in British Columbia" says Mayor Colin Kinsley.
