Kemess South Has Tentative Deal With Union

Prince George, B.C. -  Kemess South mine workers who are members of the  International Union of Operating Engineers Local 115  will be  voting over the next two weeks on a new tentative agreement.

The details of the three year package have not been made public, but the  union is recommending the 300 workers ratify the deal.

In a news release  issued by  Kemess, Ken Stowe, President and CEO, commented, "We are pleased that a tentative agreement has been reached following extensive discussions over the past several months and I would like to commend the two negotiating teams for their tireless efforts throughout this lengthy process."

The union represents  300  maintenance and production  workers at  the Kemess South mine, about 425 km nothwest of Prince George.
