Just hang the son of a bitch and not waste our tax money so some stupid judge will let off anyway
Ah, but hang him by what?
Publish the name! Guilty scum outta be publicly humilated and ostracised. This is what stoning is for. Too bad it doesn't exist for such crimes here.
No three strikes needed here.
They released the name of the last one here in town that was charged and convicted, but was it before or after he was convicted?
Wouldn't be fair to the guy if he was innocent and his name was released.
Remember we are all innocent until proven guilty.
After he is proven guilty then I get the first 2 minutes with him.
Why is there never a picture. Protecting our children would be easier if we knew what these dirtbags look like
FYI

Michael Gardiner, 60, has been charged with possession and distribution of child pornography
Sickening.
hmmmmm....my son has an english teacher at pgss , same name....and a no show this week??
Unfortunately, this is the teacher from P.G.S.S. and my daughter had him last semester. She thought he was a great teacher. It makes you wonder what makes these guys do things like this.
Even more sickening. Predatorial behaviour for someone like that to be in a teaching position.
I also just learned Michael Gardiner is a teacher, and also taught my daugter. Given he is in a profession with powerful influence with our children, why didn't this make the press release from the RCMP?
....because he has rights??
80shovel:

His daily association with and influence over children make the charge different. The police released the name, and 1000 kids know who he is and tell his parents, so the public knowledge doesn't affect his rights. But it sure changes the story.
It will also be interesting to see how the BC Teachers' Federation handles this.
His release from custody will likely involve conditions not to be in the presence of minors. I don't think he is going back to the school to teach.
Pedophiles seek out situations where they can be around children - how convenient that this man has been in a teaching position for God only knows how long. Is it possible he has victimized any of his students in pursuit of his sick hobby? Rotten SOB... just goes to show that it could be anyone... you just never know.
I had Michael Gardiner as my psychology teacher about 8 years ago, for 2 years, and the funny thing is was in 2nd year psychology he teaches you the criminology aspect of psychology, about the criminal and pedophile mind. Guess he must be an expert on the topic, who better to teach it then a man practicing what he preaches. It's sad and unfortunate, like Duffer said from the outside he was a very smart and nice man, but I guess look can be deceiving. However let it be said that I know for a fact during my class and fellow students classes, in an only what I can think of as an attempt to be "cool" with the students, he tended to make a fair amount of sexual comments in classes and take part in open chats of a sexual nature, which makes me wonder why someone didn't see this as odd behavious from a teacher a little earlier.
bohemian....when i say rights....i'm being real sarcastic here...what I really think about are the rights of the kids his kind have severly messed up...wheres their rights? This guy will be coddled by the system....his rights. He'll make a deal...roll over just like Aloha did....and be a free man to do what he wants real quick. Somethin real wrong with this picture .
