Local Realtor named Citizen of the Year

Long time city resident, Bill Lynch, has been selected the 2005 Citizen of the Year by the Prince George Community Foundation.

Described as a "tireless champion" for the community, Lynch spear-headed a committee to establish a Northern Sports Centre in the city aimed at providing not only sports facilities for local students and the community, but a place for athletes from across the country to train.

Lynch received the award from Foundation President, Elizabeth MacRitchie, at an awards banquet at the Coast Inn of the North Friday night.
