Cabin Fever Or Just Friday Night

Prince George- Was it  a case of cabin fever Friday night in Prince George. Police were called to the 1400 block of Diefenbaker Drive to deal with a disturbance. They found an unconscious male on the driveway. A suspect in the fight was located a block away and lodged in the cells. The victim who did not want to press charges was taken to hospital for a checkup.

Down the street in the 1300 block of Diefenbaker police were called several times to deal with an unruly tenant upstairs. In this case a female was banging on the floor and was verbally abusive to police.Later police were called back were they found a 26 year old drunk female outside the residence continuing to be abusive. This time she was taken to the lock up. She will be charged under the city Noise By law.

In the 500 block of Douglas St, a homeowner reported an unknown male knocking on the door. A 32 year old man was picked up and spent the night in the cells sobering up. No charges.

In the 200 block of McIntyre Crescent a female was reported beating on a door and yelling for people to come out. The female was also reported doing the same thing at other homes along the block. She was arrested and spent the night in the cells sobering up. No charges.

As to whether the cold weather outside was causing cabin fever, police did not comment.

Its not cabin fever, it booze. These people were all drunk and disorderly and should have been charged accordingly.

The fact that our jails are full, allows these people to get off the hook.
