The Commonwealth Heritage Commission will present its report on King George V school to Prince George City Council tonight.
The report notes the school has significant heritage qualifications. The Commission presents 8 possible options.
Of the 8 options, the Commission’s first choice would be to have the 60’s and 70’s additions to the school demolished, and the original building be incorporated into the design of a new Duchess Park Secondary.
If that idea doesn’t fly, the Commission suggests the entire school be demolished, and KGV be commemorated in the new school.
Council is expected to table the report.
