Prince George- Jim Steele of Environment Canada describes April weather in his monthly report as ,"gruesome".

It was a cool month with Spring having a difficult time to establish itself. The first 10 days were near normal temperature wise with a burst of mild air arriving for the 12th, the first sign of Spring with an afternoon reading into the mid teens.

Cooler air arrived soon after and remained locked in for almost 2 weeks. Several temperature records were established in this period with the 19th abnormally cold seeing a daytime high remaining several degrees below the freezing mark.

In the end, it was the coolest April since 1982. On the precipitation side of things, it turned out to be a drier than normal month with only 5 days seeing measurable precipitation.

Snowfall in lower elevations was actually below normal even with the 4 cm falling on the last day of the month. Rainfall was off and on with the last couple days of the month seeing the greatest amounts. .

Temperatures

  • Average daily high of 6.8 was below the normal of 11.4 degrees C.
  • Average daily low of -2.6  was below  the normal of -1.1 degrees C.
  • Mean temperature of 2.1 was below  the normal 5.2 degrees C.
  • Warmest Day on the 26th with a maximum temperature of 17.5 degrees
  • Coldest day on the 19th with an overnight minimum of -9.9 degrees

Precipitation

  • Total precipitation of 18.2 mm was below the normal of 32.2 mm.
  • Total Snowfall of 5.6 cm was below the normal of 6.3 cm

Remember folks. Climate change/global warming is NOT related to the daily weather.
I was waiting for someone to bring that one up. Without argueing for or against, i would like to question whether there is even a possibility that people will ever admit any alternatives to current dogma regarding man caused climate change. If the earth enters another ice age, people will still say it was global warming that set it off. If the climate does not continue to warm up, people will say thank god we worked so hard to make people aware of the problem and saved the world.
My point is that the current doctrine of global warming tolerates not dissent. When something is considered to be fact, all subsequent information (data) is interpreted based on how it fits in with that fact.
BEfore people start yelling at me (activists always seem to have loud voices) I am NOT denouncing global warming, nor do i feel qualified to argue whether our warming is due to mans influence. Then again, how many people actually are qualified?
Cool, someone at the weather office finally gets it right!
Climate change is a dream windfall for these people that are preaching it and we regular people are payimg for it. I don't know why some people can't see that. There is tons of money for the "greenies". The earth has been warming since the last ice age and will continue to do so. Many scientists say this, but the only scientists some people want to listen to are the ones that preach "the sky is falling". Anyone that believes that crap is very very gullible. Suzuki and Gore and a few more of their close friends are living the high life because of it.
"Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century and its projected continuation.

The average global air temperature near the Earth's surface increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) during the hundred years ending in 2005.[1] The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes "most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid-twentieth century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic (man-made) greenhouse gas concentrations" via the greenhouse effect. Natural phenomena such as solar variation combined with volcanoes probably had a small warming effect from pre-industrial times to 1950 and a small cooling effect from 1950 onward.

These basic conclusions have been endorsed by at least thirty scientific societies and academies of science, including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries. While individual scientists have voiced disagreement with some findings of the IPCC, the overwhelming majority of scientists working on climate change agree with the IPCC's main conclusions."

I don't think that those who are *not very gullible* are going to be the least impressed by the above. Still, I'd prefer that the world makes an effort to drastically reduce our use of non-renewable fossil fuels and make the air and water cleaner than they are now.

Fossil fuels are too valuable a resource to send up in smoke anyways.

while environment canada is reporting the weather after it has been modified by our southern controllers the ice cap is melting, new ships are now being built to travel the opening routes thru supposedly canadian claimed territory, and the resourses are now being looted by the same controllers , our military is defending our borders in afganistan seems like a convenient diversion. oh boy free pickings for the controllers, they don't want to own this ground just loot and plunder,we can pay the taxes and keep it available- ownership means we get to pay the bills they profit, ottawa seems content to do the usual hand wringing after all they rung up a $ 330 billion debt with the bankster-controllers-oh canada what a shame!
