Another Local Player Drafted. Cougars Pick High Profile American.

The Swift Current Broncos have ventured into northern B.C. for a player to add to their list. Clayton Chingee was selected by the Broncos in the 9th round. Chingee is a 5 foot 10, 155 pound centre that played for the Farr Fabricating Bantam Cougars this year. Chingee joins teammates Michael King (3rd round Kootenay) and Mitch Elliot (5th round Seattle) among the drafted today. The Cougars have also selected a few more players. In the 6th round they picked up Zac Larraza from Scottsdale Arizona. The forward is thought to be one of the best U.S. players available but again, there's a question of whether he's interested in the WHL. In round 8 the Cats drafted Brady Goebel a 5 foot 7, 160 pound centre from Stoney Plain Alberta. The Cougars then stayed in B.C. for their 9th round pick, from Kelowna, left winger Max Fiedler. More updates this evening when the draft is officially done.
