Monday night at Council, Mayor Kinsley took a shot at Councilor Dan Rogers when Rogers made a reference to the "Multiplex".

He was quick to correct Councilor Rogers that the building is now called CN Centre....

Well... Mr. Kinsley is quite correct, the building is now called CN  Centre.  That is what the sign at Ospika and the entrance reads,

but the sign on the actual building says something else.

No  wonder people get confused.

nice work .... *s*
That is funny!!!

And hopefully Kinsley takes a chill pill about it.

To me it will always be the Multiplex, I hate seeing the names changed on stuff personally.

Good Job Rogers....LOL
Well, if we want to get picky, then shouldn't the sign at 18th and Ospika read "Kinsley Gas"? Sounds like nit picking from a Mayor who was blindsided by a councillor that wasn't supposed to run against him. That's just my opinon, I could be wrong. Funny thing about politics, is that it's all about loyalty, right up until you don't need to be loyal anymore.
Sorry, I meant 18th and Ogilvie. You get my point, right?
Sorry, I meant 18th and Ogilvie....:)
The word Multiplex has been wrong for the last 10 years. To be a Multiplex it would have to have more then one (ice) floor in the building. It should of been called the PG MultiEvent Building.
Now that it is being connetted to the Kin 1,2,3 building it can NOW be called a Multiplex.
C'mon lil Collin your killin me,don't worry I still wouldn't vote for Danny boy.
ROCK
The name was changed to CN Centre for a few paltry dollars and because CN was looking for some good publicity because of the takeover of BC Rail. Its actuall any ugly name, and I for one will continue to refer to it as the Multiplex
