Northern Health Officer,Dr. Lorna Medd,  says we are the last remaining province bordering on the 49th parallel to not report one case of West Nile Virus.

"I don’t know whether there have been any cases reported in Alaska, The Yukon or the North West Territories" she said "but we in British Columbia cannot report one single case."

While there have been cases up to the 49th parallel in the US , British Columbia has not had a single case either last year, or in particular, this year when there had been fears it may be reported north of the border.
