Four years what a joke. Maybe with any luck this low life piece of sh*t will be killed in jail and then justice will have be served. Get drunk get behind the wheel of a car kill a child and only get four years. Buy a gun shoot a person get 25 years fail to see the difference. Only in Canada.
Oh I know, there is not justice in Canada. People get away literally w/ murder. People in the states get more for having a joint in their pocket for heavens sake. He should spend a lot more time in jail than that & he should NEVER be allowed to drive EVER again. I have a 4 yr old and if some loser decided it was ok to drive while impaired and killed him, I would just hate to think what I would be capable of once he got off basically scott free. when is this country going to start punishing it's criminals?
I wonder why the details of what he did that led to this crash are not written in the above story? Did it say somewhere else that this was a drunk driving case?
He got 4 years and the POS that killed the two kids and their father at hwy 16 and Domano a few years back only got 3 years.
Wonderful justice system eh.
There is NO real justice in B.C.
Take it to the politicians we elect because they ARE to blame!
And Wally Oppal is the worst thing that ever happened to justice here in B.C.
The feds just plain don't care, they are too far away from B.C.to even pay attention, but they talk a good story!
Unfortuntely,it is all meaningless.
Kjell Andrew Soltvedt was/is a resident of MacKenzie and yes he was drunk, and people in Mackenzie called the rcmp to report him as drunk and driving, but he unfortunately made it to PG.
So, I hope people out there don't get down on the police when they do their highway crackdowns...its done to prevent tragedies like this from happening.
Their once in awhile crackdowns do nothing to stop tragedies like this from happening.
These things always happen when nobody is around or responding to complaints.
