The City of Prince George advises the public and boaters that Cottonwood Island Park, parts of the Heritage River Trails from Cameron Street Bridge to the Yellowhead Bridge andPaddlewheel Park have been closed due to rising river water levels. This closure will remain in place until further notice. Recent spring run-off and rainfall have caused river water levels to fluctuate and park and trail users are advised to exercise caution when using other river front parks and trail areas. The City of Prince George reminds boaters that high water levels significantly increase thedangers of being on the water due to floating debris and submerged or partially submerged obstacles. Extreme caution should be taken while on the river.

Oh right, the mayor and council dropped the ball on this last summer and are now just picking it up?!?!
