Prince George, B.C. - Prince George Fire Rescue crews continue to work on the scenes of two major fires that broke out Monday evening and Tuesday morning at the BCR Industrial Site.

Fire Rescue officials said Thursday that 90 per cent of residual burning material at the Interior Warehousing site has been extinguished. Debris removal was scheduled to begin to allow fire fighters access to hot spots that continue to smolder at the site.

At the North Central Plywood plant, where the first fire broke out, remaining collapse hazards were eliminated this morning and fire fighters cleared a path for entry into the area where the fire is suspected to have originated. Investigators are examining this location.

Fire fighters continue to work on several other remaining hot spots in the collapse zone.

look for the insurance underwriters sleuths probing the piles for financial combustion problems.awful thing to say- but they will be there sniffing out the source.who knows what will turn up-something fishy about this fire, maybe canfor shareholders will get stuck with the bill, good thing no deaths or serious injuries that would make it criminal.
Nothing suspicious about that fire at all. Fires were common at NCP. They have a trained fire crew because of it. Unfortunately this one got out of hand.
Rumor has it is that NCP's trained fire crew had this fire under control until the city fd arrived and forced them out even before the city had any hoses or equipment set up. May be someone should start to look into this and if true someone should pay the piper.
