Prince George, B.C. - The investigation into the  cause of the fire that levelled North Central Plywood  at the end of May, is on hold.

Investigators and Work Safe BC Officials have determined the site is too dangerous to continue the investigation until the site has been cleared of debris.

Arrangements are being made to have equipment remove debris to make the site safe for investigators.

As soon as the site is safe, investigators will examine areas they have not been able to access. The work to remove the debris is expected to start early next week.

Well this is interesting --- how do you investigate the cause of a fire if all the evidence is up at the dump ??
Any employees on the job at the time or those first on the scene would be able to provide insight as to the specific area where the fire probably started.

Naturally, they would not want to remove anything from that area. But, the rest could be cleaned up. Chester
Oh I get it, the area where the fire started will be a lot less hazardous to look for evidence, once all the other areas are cleaned up.
