Don Schaffer To Move to Victoria

Prince George, B.C. - It was Prince George City Clerk Don Schaffer`s last Council meeting tonight.
 
Shaffer has taken a job in Victoria after working for the City of Prince George for more than 10 years. “I just want to say that Don has faithfully served this city, its residents and council members and staff colleagues,” said Prince George Mayor Colin Kinsley."
 
Don Schaffer has serve first as The Deputy City Clerk and since November of 2000 as City Clerk. 
 
Schaffer is expected to move to Victoria as soon as possible.
 
The City of Prince George has begun the process to find a replacement, however no word on who that might be.

This will be a loss to our community and a plus for Victoria. Don Schaffer is a classy guy who has always been the total professional. He will be a tough act to follow. Best of luck to Don.

A change is better than a rest.
How could he possibly leave Prince George for Victoria. Doesnt he know that we are the **Jewel of the North** **BC'S Northern Capital** We have a daily flight to Seattle and fly direct to Quadalhara 5 weeks of the year. (Dec to Jan)

After this last Shi--y winter I am seriously considering leaving myself and so are a lot of others.
