Mayor gets four times the salary as a councillor, manages to syphon vehicle and other expenses totaling more than 4 times the total of the highest paid councillor? How can THAT be justified? I think the councillors got short changed for their expenses and the mayor took definite advantage of city coffers!
WE are payin' them chicken feed. Thats why we are gettin' chicken s4it.
put a cork in it tinyapplecork...you couldnt last a day a mayor!
The actual fact is that anyone can be a Mayor but not everyone can be a dictator.

Cheers
I just read something interesting, not really in relation to this, but still along the same lines, ie: compensation for our public servants...

Mayor or Vancouver, Sam Sullivan, receives $122,358.34/yr, while his recent challenger for that post, Gregor Robertson, NDP MLA gets a measly (in comparison) $76,100/yr. Apparently thats not enough for him, so he's given up his seat (a big surprise to Carole) to challenge for the mayor's job.

So even though the person holding the mayor's position in PG is quite well rewarded for his efforts (compared to his compatriot in the big smoke), I still wouldn't want the job, with the bunch of yooz guys whining in my ear about anything I've done, that doesn't agree with your way :-)

If you became mayor of PG how would you settle the city workers strike that would surely follow your first day in office. LMAO.
What's the problem pgdealer? Did I hit a nerve? You'll be relieved to learn then that I have no inclination for the mayor's chair but I could do no worse than anyone else...actually I would do better because I wouldn't be scowling and telling others to shut the hell up at a council meeting.

So what's the deal, pgdealer??
