Canadian Curling Association Preps For 2009 Pre-trials

Prince George, B.C. – The Canadian Curling Association will be coming to Prince George tomorrow for a site visit as it prepares for the 2009 Canadian Curling Pre-Trials.
 
Warren Hansen, Manager of Event Operations with the Canadian Curling Association will lead a delegation for two days to tour the CN Centre, The Prince George Golf and Curling Club and meet with The Coast Inn of The North.
 
The 2009 pre-trials in November will host twenty-four teams (twelve each of men and women) which will be the first qualification event for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
 
The top four male and female teams will then move on to the Olympic Trials where the winner will compete in Vancouver in 2010.
 
Virginia Sprangers, Manager, Events Prince George says, “ this is a significant event for Prince George. The collaborative effort in securing this event demonstrates the excitement in our community for the 2010 Games.”
