Prince George, B.C. – Members of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union at the Canfor Pulp Mill in Prince George have a tentative agreement with Canfor.
Union reps say this package could be the template for other contract agreements involving pulp mills across the province.
The tentative deal covers four years and gives the workers a wage increase. Details will not be released until the workers have had a chance to look at the package. That will happen at an information meeting this week, with the ratification vote likely to take place next week.
The union executive will recommend the deal be ratified.
